My mentorship relates to my long-term career goals because I am planning on being a physician's assistant but, I am unsure on what I want to specialize in. This explains why I am mentorship in the medical field. I have learned many new skills throughout my mentorship that I probably would not have learned if it wasn't for this opportunity. I have learned that punctuality is very important. I have always known this, but this experience has heightened this idea because you never know what you could be missing out on if you're late. I have also learned how to make the most out of everything. Even when there is nothing else for me to do, I still find a way to stay positive and be proactive in some manner. I have also learned about different types of medicines, and how to read the medical charts. The culture of my mentorship in rather laid back because of the small amount of patients coming into and out of the office. The interactions are full of compassion because the doctor's primary goal is to help the patient.
