HOW CAN MY MENTORSHIP AT A MEDICAL CENTER DEVELOP A TREATMENT PLAN FOR PATIENTS WITH EPIDERMOLYSIS BULLOSA?
Epidermolysis Bullosa is a rare skin disease that causes the skin to be extremely fragile and results in blisters and discomfort. The major types of Epidermolysis Bullosa are simplex, junctional, and dystrophic and the severity varies among each type. So far, there are not many treatments that are effective and at the moment there is no cure for the disease but research is being conducted in order to potentially find a cure and make the lives of those with Epidermolysis Bullosa significantly better.
